Driving distance: 16 miles (24 minutes)
Start at Ely Outfitting Company.
Drive east on Hwy 169 (becomes Fernberg Rd.) for 16 miles.
Turn right on Ojibway Lake Road.
Go about a half mile to the public landing for Ojibway Lake. There is a gravel parking lot near the landing.
The Kawishiwi River is accessed after paddling about a mile across Ojibway Lake, portaging into Triangle Lake, paddling about a mile across Triangle Lake, and then walking a 190 rod portage.
