"We had some experience with canoeing and wilderness camping, but not much experience putting the two together. We got everything we needed and more from Ely Outfitting. I don't want to downplay the quality of gear that we rented. That was important and everything that was provided was clean and organized and worked as expected. But it was the quality of the planning and advice that really stood out. The intake form did a very good job of asking the right questions to assess what we wanted from our trip and what we would need to have an outstanding experience. The suggested routes matched our interests and abilities. Similarly, the communication leading up to our trip hit exactly the right level. We knew what to expect and what we needed to do to be ready, but we weren't overwhelmed with emails and actions that we needed to do. When we showed up for our orientation, everything was ready and our outfitter was assessing our abilities and making sure that we knew what we needed to know. The suggestions and advice for our particular trip were perfect for our level of experience and our interests. When we returned after our five-day outing, our check-in was friendly and efficient.

Our outfitting experience was much more than gear rental. Ely Outfitting made sure that our outing was perfect for us."
