1. Ultralight Canoe and Deluxe Food Package – Only $75/person/day

A great choice for the outdoors person who already owns backcountry camping equipment, and wants the finest canoe for traveling and the convenience of our deluxe trail food.

  • Deluxe camping food – click here for our exclusive mouth-watering menu including fresh food options. Our guests rave about the menu. You’ll find signature local items made in Ely as well as Ely’s own gourmet coffee. We even pack snacks, s’mores, and optional individual packets of tartar sauce, lemon juice, and malt vinegar for your lakeside fish fry. With advance notice, we can accommodate many dietary restrictions. Our food packages comply with BWCAW rules prohibiting metal cans and glass bottles. A great trip deserves great food!
  • Meals individually packed and organized in color-coded food packing system
  • Specialized food pack with waterproof liner
  • Comprehensive cook kit (details here) including pots, fry pan, dishes, and utensils
  • Trail coffee press
  • Folding bucket (for doing dishes and dousing your campfire)
  • Dishcleaning kit including biodegradable soap, sponge, abrasive cleaning pad (SOS pad), and non-scratch pot scraper

  • Ultralight canoes. Groups with an odd number of participants typically use a three-seat canoe, but may use one solo canoe.

2.  Deluxe Food-Only Package – Only $55/person/day

A great choice for the outdoors person who already has their own canoe and backcountry camping equipment, and wants the convenience of our deluxe trail food.

3.  Ultralight Canoe and Camping Equipment Package – Only $70/person/day

If you have the time and desire, then a great way to save money on your canoe trip is to pack your own meals and just rent an ultralight canoe and camping equipment.

  • Ultralight canoes. Groups with an odd number of participants typically use a three-seat canoe, but may use one solo canoe.

  • Ultralight backcountry tents (in sizes rated for 1, 2, or 4 people)
  • Quality lightweight coated nylon 10′ x 12′ rain tarp (ie, dining canopy) with attached rope
  • Duluth style portage packs with waterproof liners
  • Nylon stuff sacks to stow clothes in your portage pack
  • Comfy, freshly laundered sleeping bags rated to 2o degrees F
  • Therm-A-Rest pack pillows
  • Inflatable full-length sleeping pads
  • Comprehensive cook kit (details here) including pots, fry pan, dishes, and utensils
  • Trail coffee press
  • SteriPEN drinking water sterilization device
  • Camp stove with pressurized fuel
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand sanitizer

Note this discounted partial package does NOT include the following items which are included in the Complete Outfitting Package: detailed waterproof navigation maps of your route, navigation compass with lanyard, souvenir personal water bottle for each participant, deluxe camping food in a color-coded food packing system, Crazy Creek camp chairs that also work for canoeing back support, compact trail hammock, slap straps for hanging hammocks, and hot showers on your return. These items may be individually rented or purchased.
