A Minneapolis-based professional photographer, Layne’s newest book on the Boundary Waters, titled “Paddle North,” was released in November 2010. Layne’s work is also featured frequently in Smithsonian, Life, Newsweek, Forbes, Outside, Audubon, Backpacker, Sports Illustrated, and National Geographic publications.
