Drive east on Hwy 169 out of Ely for 1.8 miles.
Turn left on Hwy 88/Grant McMahan Blvd.
Go 2.2 miles.
Turn right onto Echo Trail.
Go 8.0 miles.
Just past Fenske Lake Campground and Lake Access, turn right onto N. Grassy Road.
Immediately veer to the left.
Go 4.3 miles.
Turn left at T intersection (intersection with snowmobile trail).
Go 1.1 miles to Mudro Lake entry parking lot.
30 rod portage to creek flowing into Mudro Lake.
Picket Lake is visible on your left as you arrive at the parking lot. Picket Lake is the opposite direction from Mudro Lake.
