Wilderness Guide
Nick Bailles BWCAW Canoe Guide

Nick grew up in the Twin Cities and began visiting the north woods at a very young age. From those visits to the Boundary Waters and the Ely area Nick developed a passion for the outdoors and the wilderness this area had to offer.

Nick learned a wide variety of skills during these family trips and wanted to pass these skills and knowledge on to anyone and everyone who was interested. This eventually led him to pursue a degree in Environmental and Outdoor Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Nick spends most of his free time exploring the Minnesota wilderness by canoe as well as dog sled, but also has a love for pottery and fantasy sports.

Nick Bailles Boundary Waters Canoe Guide Fishing

There is magic in the feel of a paddle and the movement of a canoe, a magic compounded of distance, adventure, solitude and peace. The way of a canoe is the way of the wilderness and of a freedom almost forgotten, the open door to waterways of ages past and a way of life with profound and abiding satisfaction.
